How does the garment compartment work?

Both sides of the clamshell are full packing compartments. One adds a garment bag: hang a suit, dress, or a few button-downs on it, buttoned and smoothed flat, then zip it shut, fold it over and clip it. Pack your clothes pressed, hang them up when you arrive, and they come out the way they went in.

What size garments fit?

Up to a 46 X-long jacket lies flat. A dress, or two shirts and a pair of trousers, is comfortable. It is not just for suits. Anything you would rather not fold into a pile is the point.

Will it fit in the overhead bin?

22.7 × 15.6 × 9.5 inches, compliant with most major US carriers. Packed flat it goes wheels-first into a standard bin. Fully expanded to 59L, plan on gate-checking it on smaller regional jets.

What if I don't need to use the garment bag?

We planned for that. The garment compartment folds flat and tucks neatly against the side of the shell even when it's not being used so you’re left with a regular hardshell carry-on.

What is the difference between this and the Garment Roller?

Both get your suit and the rest of your week into one carry-on. They just go about it differently.

The Garment Spinner is a hardshell with four spinning wheels, for travelers who want maximum protection and an easy glide through the terminal. Its garment bag is a separate compartment that folds out from one side of the shell. Hang your clothes, fold them back in, and they'll sit on top of everything else you’ve packed.

The Garment Roller has a soft ballistic exterrior and two wheels, which leaves more room inside and handles cobblestones and curbs better. Its garment bag is built into the main interior. Hang your clothes, and the open-bottom design lets longer pieces hang straight.

The short version: Get the Spinner Plus if you want to glide through the airport with your suit folded up on its own side of the shell. Get the Roller if you want to pull your bag over anything, with your suit wrapped around everything else you’ve packed.

What if something breaks?

We’ll ship you a free, easy-to-use replacement kit for wheels, bumper skids, corner caps, the TSA lock, the trolley handle, grab handles, cinch straps, and zipper pulls. Worn parts shouldn't mean a new suitcase.
